I’m Eugene, a designer and maker working with reclaimed and repurposed materials, building bags and utility pieces designed for real, everyday use.

What started as making practical kit for myself has grown into something more — a collection of hard-wearing, functional pieces shaped by trial, use, and time in the workshop. Every item is cut, stitched and finished by hand, with no mass production and no shortcuts.

Each piece carries its own character, because the materials already have a story.

Materials & Making

Most of what I use is reclaimed — old canvas, military surplus, industrial fabrics, offcuts, and anything with life left in it. I’m always learning what works and what doesn’t: how different materials wear, how they handle weather, weight, and daily use.

Some fabrics are tough but awkward. Others are easy to work with but don’t last. The process is about finding the balance — materials that are strong, workable, and suited to purpose.

Every design comes from use. If something doesn’t hold up, it gets reworked. If it works well, it stays and evolves. That means the bags aren’t just made to look good — they’re made to function properly, whether that’s for tools, travel, or everyday carry.

Fit for Purpose

These aren’t delicate pieces.

They’re built for being carried, loaded, worn in, and used over time. Waxed canvas, reinforced stitching, practical layouts — everything has a reason behind it.

The aim is simple: make things that do their job well, age properly, and keep going.

Custom Work

I also take on custom pieces where it makes sense.

That might be adapting an existing design, working with specific materials, or building something entirely one-off. If you’ve got something in mind — a particular use, size, or idea — get in touch and we can talk it through.

Not everything is possible, but I’m always open to a conversation.
